Dancing in the Street! Two weeks ago GloATL dancers ran through the streets of Castleberry and set the crowd on fire. Their passionate "Liver" was an offspring of street life. The dancers ran, jumped, twisted themselves into torturous knots and kept the crowd chasing after them. I couldn't believe that I was close behind them, running for about four blocks at full speed. It was incredibly emotional. I didn't plan to paint them, but there they are on the canvas, as twisted and as street-wise as they can be.
I haven't been very good about keeping up with my posts -- preparing for a major solo exhibit at Montfort Fine Art Gallery in Alpharetta on Sat., Nov. 5, 6-9 p.m. Then, I'll be doing a Plein Air Abstract Workshop at the gallery the next weekend, Saturday afternoon 2-3:30 p.m. I hope everyone will be able to make it. There will be super hors d'oeuvres and my paintings, of course.
